philosophy of innovation
Our CEO and upper management are challenged to create and manage a broad mix of innovation that emphasizes business model change. KDM
is committed to making change management a discipline, with the focus and underlying capabilities it requires. We are committed to innovation
across all innovation types: (1) products/services/markets, (2) operations and (3) business model.

Leadership and culture
Innovation requires orchestration from the top, by creating a team based environment, building supporting processes and structures, and rewarding
individuals and teams.

We are committed to building an organization with strong capabilities across key innovation enablers; we will actively challenge the perception of
who we are as an organization.

Management takes personal responsibility for creating the right conditions for innovation to flourish. We will continue to build a culture that is
collegial and team oriented, but remember to reward significant individual contributions. We will align innovation processes, measures and
incentives to foster a
climate of creativity internally and with partners, suppliers and customers.

Collaboration and partnering
Collaboration is indispensable for innovation, especially collaboration beyond company walls.

To encourage greater collaboration both internally and externally, we will (a) ensure that structures and incentives offer benefits to all participants:
business units, employees, customers and partners, (b) establish processes and tools that enable collaboration across the organization and with
customers and business partners and (c) make it easier and more rewarding to collaborate than to work in isolation.

Business and technology
Successful innovators use technology as an innovation catalyst by combining it with business and market insights. To realize greater value from
business and technology integration, we will (a) incorporate an understanding of the technological landscape in our business strategy formulation
as a strategy input, rather than as simply an enabler, (b) stay current on evolving technologies inside and outside the industry to understand
potential opportunities and disruptions and (c) build processes that integrate business and technology throughout the organization.
